Marathon MTB Nationals!

“The race was off on Saturday around noon. I rode at my highest intensity and led the pack for the first 15 miles until a couple of the other girls slipped by. But I didn't let that slide! Even though it was a 45-mile marathon, we moved along as if it was a 90 min XC event. One obstacle that I found to be exclusive to this alien desert/shrubland habitat were the flopped-over cacti along the course. They were like minefields as I carved around turns, but my Pivot 429SL karma was good to me! It was so fun experiencing such different terrain compared to what I'm used to riding on the East coast”.
